FAUX SURE!

I HAVE 2 IDOLS IN BLOGLAND, ANA FROM KNOCKOFF WOOD AND JENNIFER FROM THE MAGIC BRUSH.
Back in the day i took a faux class and had great intentions, but lack of space to practice and so i lost my nerve.  I happened to stumble upon The Magic Brush where jennifer makes some faux magic happen let me tell ya.  Another bonus she is an original Iowa girl transplanted in KC.  She did a post on transforming a door.  i left a comment about how much I loved it and she so graciously told me what products she used.  After an internet order later from the faux store (i live in the boonies so online ordering is my friend) I had ordered my Camel aquabond, walnut stain and seal plus C500 sealer.

Remember this door started out primed white steel or metal door from big box store.

First pic is just the Camel colored paint, next pic after 1 coat of the walnut stain.

She makes me smile everytime I walk into the house.
The curves on the door made it a little tricky, but it looks so much better than a plain ole black door.
JENNIFER, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!   All i can say is i wish i lived near KC, so i could meet my painting idol!!
