TIMELESS TEMPLATES

One of the stampers I have followed from the beginning has been Lauren Meader . She never ceases to amaze me. She recently started a line of printable templates and I am in love with them. It is so easy to create a packaged gift that looks like a million bucks!!!

Another template she has, which happens to be my favorite so far, is her Keepsake box. This one is Berry Sorbet box base with Polka Dot lid, oh how I adore the polka dots. You all are going to get sick of pink, but it has always been my favorite.

So make sure you stop by Papertrey ink every month around the 15th to see what the fabulous Lauren M. has created!

I started this post a while back and never finished it, but figured what the heck. This was a Christmas present for my cousin, an ornament from our magical trip to Disney.

All of Lauren's templates come together easy and take gift giving to the next level. Her Timeless Templates are found at Papertrey Ink under the tool section I believe. Give 1 a try, you won't be disappointed.

BLOGHOP TIME

I can't believe I managed to sneak this in! Not exactly thrilled with how it turned out, but at least I tried. I used my circle scalloped nestabilities in sweet blush, vellum and a cuttlebug swirl sweet blush again along with one of the holiday ribbons from Papertrey and turned it into a baby card with one of the sentiments from Bitty Baby Blessings. I also used the Swiss Dot Cuttlebug for the base of the card. Sorry had to rush tonight, trying to get my girls to bed!!

Christmas mini bread box

I found it finally the source of my inspiration, http://technostamper.blogspot.com/2008/10/bread-box-mini-tutorial.html, her bread box is fantastic. Thanks for the great holiday idea!!
One of my weekly stops in Blogland is Card of the Week. Great place to catch up on all the great projects in 1 stop! I noticed this great little minibread box. I love to make mini loaves of bread for Christmas gifts for the neighbors, etc., and thought this would work great. Plus I looove the new Papertrey colors right now. The Ripe Avocado and Ocean Tides together, yummy! I had even whipped up some Apple Bread to put in the box, however, bake sale and we attacked the other 2 loaves before I had a chance to get this posted!! Sorry. I'll come back later after I find the great blog I was inspired from to make this cool little box. Plus scroll down to see what I had fun making for the 3-D design challenge.

My 2nd 3-D challenge

Wow. Two posts in 1 day, I'm on a roll. Pretty simple box but still festive IMO. I started with the 2, 4, 6, 8 box, but it wouldn't fit my die cut so I changed over to the 2, 5, 7, 10. I used Papertrey's shimmery white cardstock, love it, more Holiday Tags in Aqua Mist and Ocean Tides (my new fav ink). More holiday packing, gotta love it. My ribbon and glitter for the glitter window I purchased from Taylored Expressions. Make sure to scroll down for my first post today!! Have a great day.

My first 3-D Design challenge

Good grief, can anyone tell me where November has gone? I had such good intentions of getting a lot accomplished this month, well we know December is out, I'll set my goal for January! I had a little time yesterday to play. I had originally wanted to make an open top box for the first challenge and didn't make it, so was I glad to see anything goes this week!! Plus having Papertrey participating really got me excited as we all know I am a huge fan. Everything used for my box was Papertrey.
Avocado for the box base, the new polka dot papers with the threading water punch to add my scallops, Pure Poppy and Ripe Avocado satin ribbon (sooo luxurious), and the new Holiday Tag stamps. I had been reluctant to get those, but absolutely love them. It is going to make tag making for Christmas packages a snap! I packaged some votive Creme Brulee candles and here it is! Great teacher's gift I think.

Thanks for stopping by.

DISNEYWORLD

I hate to say that I was one of "those" people who didn't get the whole Disneyworld thing, that is until now!!! We made our first trip to Disneyworld the first part of October and all I can say is, "When can I go back!!!" It was fantastic, totally magical, all of it. So for all you doubters out there, as I was, check it out. I'm sure that it helped seeing the absolute bliss on my daughter's face every time she got an autograph from one of the characters or catching up with a favorite family member and her extended family who served as official tour guides!!! It was by far our best vacation ever. (So Miss Myra if you are checking in, our eternal gratitude for being the greatest tour guide, we would have been lost without you and your family).
So I just wanted to share a few pics from the first of many trips to Disneyworld!!!

OCTOBER BLOGHOP

Here we are again!! Last year I waited until November to start making my Christmas cards and projects, boy did I learn my lesson. I am getting started way earlier this year. I am having so much fun with Lauren's new templates.

Can I say how much I looooove the new colors and the polka dot papers. I have no idea what I love about polka dots, but they always have appealed to me.

While the stocking I created doesnt have many polka dots, I still love the way it turned out. First I scored my paper on the super wonderful Scor-Pal and then cut out the stockings. I am in the process of making my soy votive candles for Christmas presents for teachers, etc., this year. I didn't try to do this, but they turned out almost a Berry Sorbet color!! I added the snowflake (cuttlebug die), Martha glitter on the snowflake and the cuff.

For the votive candles, I made a band out of Berry sorbet and the fabulous new Polka dot papers.

Thanks for stopping by! I always enjoy taking a peak at all the fun stuff everyone has made! See ya next bloghop!

SEPTEMBER BLOGHOP

Just a warning those pillow boxes were so much fun to make, once you start you wont want to stop!! I have to admit the Christmas paper from Papertrey I wasn't thrilled about. I know how dare I doubt them, that is until I made these boxes and added Pure Poppy satin ribbon and I was hooked. It looks soooo elegant together. The ornament is actually a chipboard so I made a frig magnet to hold up Christmas cards. I know I should have something beautiful crafted to hold all my Christmas cards, but I am too busy reading all of your blogs to get anything done!!! A couple of years ago I got, as a joke, these thong underwear from Victoria Secret in a pillow box like these. I decided to make the box and am going to put a pair of super small, dental floss-like thong underwear and send them back to the girlfriend who gave me the first pair!!! Also wouldn't the tweens or teens in your life like a pair of pretty panties at Christmas in these little boxes!!! I hope I have not offended any of you thong lovers out there, just not for me!!!! I am soo excited to see everything tonight.

I am such a Papertrey fan, I am having a hard time buying other products because I love their stuff so much. Nicole and the DT never fail to inspire and empty my pocket book. Just when I think I have enough, then they reel me back in!!! Keep up the great work gals!!!

ALL THAT GLITTERS

Well this is what happens when you are busy working on your bloghop
projects and not paying attention to your 7-year-old, who knows better. My office chair is now super glittery. As we all know, this stuff doesn't exactly clean up easy. I have a feeling my rear will be quite sparkly!!!

SEPTEMBER BLOGHOP

Welcome! This is my first Papertrey Bloghop, however, I have been stalking forever. Since this is my first hop, I decided to keep it simple. I am having a hard time getting into the Christmas mode quite yet, but I'm sure after all the inspiration from tonight it will put me in the mood quickly! I am always amazed month after month at all the talent out there. Both of the above projects I feel personally look better IRL, they both shimmer nicely and perfect for the holidays. The Peace is a wood plaque measuring about 6 inches, but I think for the future I would make it in ornament size. Not exactly thrilled with how it turned out, never seems to match what I have in my mind! Practice makes perfect my mother always told me! The card is done in the new shimmery white and I love that stuff. Papertrey never lets me down!!! I tried the faux embossing technique and really like the way the Peace looks with that technique. Aqua mist was used for the layering and some new stickles, cant remember the color name. I notice too that I smudged it taking the pic! Well thanks everybody for stopping by. Can't wait to check everyones creations out. Have a great night.

Beaded Valance

I sometimes wonder if I dabble in too many things and master none!! I made this valance for my kitchen. I tried editing the first picture in Photoshop Elements 5. I am trying to learn the program, but it is going slow. If I was well versed in it I could have edited out the waves in the valance!! Someday maybe. The bottom picture is a detail of the beads, aren't they cool!! One of these days I will get it on my window!!

September Papertrey Guest Star Stamper Contest

Usually I am too intimidated by all of the talent at Papertrey, but I decided what the heck, I'll give it a try. I created a box with my Scor-Pal (which I don't know how I lived without it for so long). I used their Spooky Sweets, which is an adorable Halloween set for the box top and faux ribbon for the bottom of the box. I created a witches hat and used my rectangular nestability to create the hat band, added some glitter, and their plum pudding ribbon. My kids love bug juice (basically Koolaid in a bottle), so I thought it was a cute idea to add some bugs to it. While it turned out okay, I always have trouble completing the finished product. It always needs a little something, but can never put my finger on it. Would love any critiques (just don't be too hard on me!!). Thanks for looking!!

Fall is in the air!

Wecome! My "first" post as a blogger. I love candles during fall and winter. I was playing with my Justrite Stamper and decided to dress up my candle jar. I used some of my favorite supplies, anything from Papertrey Ink. Basically I have been soo inspired by all of the talented DT ladies at Papertrey that I decided to try this blog thing. I used their Spiral Bouquet stamp set in Summer Sunrise and Dark Chocolate and Spring Moss ink for the stems. Look at their ribbon, it is sooo luxurious, but my bows. I am bow challenged. My mom had a floral shop for 10 years and she tried and tried to teach me bows, still struggling all these years later!!

I am fairly new to stamping, so my supplies are fairly limited, but growing by the minute. I hope you will join me as I "grow" as a stamper.
